Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, this role will be responsible to provide technical support to Liebherr service technicians and their customers. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for all technical questions, inquiries and problems related to equipment in the shop or field. This positions requires indepth knowledge of Liebherr specific equipment.


Responsibilities


  • Assure all service information and bulletins are clearly communicated to the service departments.
  • Ability to use LiDAT, LISA and all other factories' software to review historical data and trends.
  • Maintain and update problem database.
  • Support parts department for special inquiries.
  • Share technical information and solutions proactively with the service departments
  • Ability to perform failure analysis on components.
  • Provide Liebherr equipment specific technical advice, guidance and troubleshooting to technicians and their customers.
  • Liaise with Liebherr factories for inquiries, technical questions, feedback and follow up closely to ensure timely responses.
  • Advise supervisors and the training team about technical training requirements for technicians.
  • Meet with customers for service issues, this also includes participation in scheduled customer service meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned or required
  • Advanced understanding of oil analysis, make technical recommendations based on sample results.
  • Technical support of warranty and goodwill cases.


Competencies


  • Previous experience using LiDAT and LISA is required.
  • You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite
  • You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time
  • More than 7 years of direct Liebherr equipment experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak in English in an effictive fashion.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, repair and warranty related activities
