The City of Edmonton's Safe Mobility Section is dedicated to achieving Vision Zero, our goal of zero traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries by 2032. The section consists of three units that represent the core “5 Es” of traffic safety: Engineering, Automated Enforcement, and Planning and Community Activation (Evaluation, Education, and Engagement).
We're looking for a talented Systems Analyst to join our Automated Enforcement Unit and provide end-to-end solution delivery and maintenance of the Photo Enforcement Ticketing System (PETS). You will oversee the system application and activities for maintaining the violation review system to meet time, budget and quality targets.

With a focus on the City of Edmonton’s Cultural Commitments to Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:
- Provide research, feasibility and impact studies, design and development, testing and implementation for any new enforcement technology
- Act as an intermediary between the user and IT development team to ensure enhancements are an effective solution to current issues
- Provide PETS support such as complex troubleshooting, as well as system enhancements, testing and documentation, training, audit processes, and system maintenance
- Manage system requirements with a variety of stakeholders
- Perform other related duties as required
- Maintain the Court Calendar to reflect the days the Provincial Courts or the City of Edmonton are not operational due to stat holidays
- Complete regular audits of the system and record all findings to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Assist in creating additional reporting based on changing needs of the organization
- Ensure compliance of the regulations provided by the EPS Traffic Safety Plan, the Provincial Automated Enforcement Technology Guideline, and the Traffic Safety Act
- Provide maintenance of information regarding active or non active officers and their training in specific types of equipment
- Provide in depth documentation of the system policy and procedures for administrators of the system, including all maintenance requirements for each back end data tables and user security profiles within the system
- Collaborate and resolve highly complex and sensitive issues
- Provide training and process requirements for users of the system
- Ensure all site data is accurate and up to date
- Maintain the Fines table to ensure the fines associated with each violation accurately reflect the fine amounts as directed by the Province of Alberta
Qualifications:
- University graduation in Business Administration, Statistics, Project Management, Computer Science or related discipline

- Ability to make sound decisions with an understanding of budgetary and political implications
- Applicants may be tested
- Ability to document system processes and procedures, including manuals for management and administrators
- Minimum of four (4) years’ directly related working experience is required.
- Ability to draft reports, correspondence, and to present information and recommendations in a clear and concise manner

- Knowledge of the Provincial Automated Traffic Enforcement Technology Guidelines
- Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously

Up to 1 permanent full-time position
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday.
The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
Salary Range: $43.325 - $54.743(Hourly); $90,462.600 - $114,303.380 (Annually)
