Robert Half is looking for a project professional for an interim opportunity as a Senior Cost Accountant. This contract position will act as the subject matter expert on all costing inquiries and analysis. Closely working with the production team and reporting into the VP Finance, your main duties and responsibilities include:

• Prepare and analyze cost reports and costing audits
• Respond to costing queries and prepare explanations and analysis
• Determine and implement cost accounting procedures and methods
• Conduct analysis of standard versus actual costs to identify variances
• Consistently completes assigned processes, procedures and workflows within corporate guidelines and checks for compliance with internal and external requirements
• Analyzes cost records and calculation of unit cost for products or services related to a specific job or project; examines any costs that seem contrary to experience

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will be a designated accountant CPA, (CA/CGA/CMA) with experience in the manufacturing industry and strong technical experience in zero based costing, inventory, and variance analysis. You are a dynamic individual, who has excellent communication skills and can work efficiently and proactively. You have great interpersonal skills coupled with a proven work ethic and initiative to undertake any ad hoc assignments.
