Summary

Thus, through our enriching internship program, we help develop the next generation of engineers and technologists.
As an intern, you will help develop our industry-leading electromagnetic simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate Ansys products. In this internship, you will support our Electronics team. This is a 40-hour per week paid position starting January 2024 and concluding April 2024. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
  • Develop prototypes or test new solution strategies or algorithms.
  • Determine best practices when applying electromagnetic simulation software to solve challenging industrial problems.
  • Work alongside research engineers during the design, implementation, and verification process.
  • Advance the research of numerical algorithms in electromagnetics and high-performance computational software.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing a MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related technical degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Experience in MATLAB and/or C++.
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with finite element methods, integral equation methods and hybrid field-solver technologies.
  • Experience in electromagnetic field theory and numerical techniques.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to pick new projects and technology development effort from scratch.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
