The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is the largest Centre for Education in Atlantic Canada with over 10,000 full-time, part-time and casual employees. The Speech Language Pathologist supports students with communication disorders through direct service and program development, within the Planning Process, through the provision of specialized knowledge and skills.


Qualifications Required


  • Eligibility for full membership in Nova Scotia College of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (NSCASLP);
  • Special Certificate from the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Office of Teacher Certification;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor of Education and relevant teaching experience.
  • Masters Degree in Human Communication Disorders or acceptable equivalent;

  • Mixture of 10-month and 12-month contracts are available

  • Hours ranging from 8:00 - 4:00 depending on the school
