CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Specialist, Centralized Programs! Reporting to the Director, Community Engagement and Inclusion this position provides project oversight, coordination, and administrative support for various CNIB Centralized Programs.
The role includes planning, organizing, and coordinating program activities; and is responsible for interacting and communicating with Program staff across the country, driving momentum on projects, reviewing, and communicating all project progress and interim results to ensure alignment with CNIB mission.
Your impact at CNIB
  • Supports and actively provides orientation and training to volunteers, and community partners working within the Centralized Programs.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, efficiencies, and process enhancements on an on-going basis for Centralized Programs.
  • Supports with the outreach strategies to participants and community partners to maximize participation and introduce new participants to CNIB.
  • Works closely with staff across the country to support the planning and implementation of Mobile Hub including the completion of various administrative duties as required: location bookings and evaluations, expense reconciliation, SmartLife inventory control and replenish, Sales Force management.
  • Provides backup and alternative support for the Phone it Forward device intake and deployment process, including wiping devices, inventory, data retention, warranties and repairs, internal customer service and training on deployment to other CNIB staff.
  • Ensure that accurate partner, donor, and volunteer information is maintained in Salesforce and is shared with appropriate departments within the organization.
  • Fosters and stewards strong and effective partnerships with community organizations that are aligned to and/or can help further our programs, including other service delivery organizations, funding agencies, sponsors and partners etc.
  • Provides support with the development of communication plans, actions, risks evaluation, reports and stewardship pieces for Centralized Programs projects.
  • Assist the department with financial reporting and invoice coding and tracking.

We Want To Hear From You If You Have
  • Post-secondary education with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
  • Bilingual Candidate preferred.
  • Skills in CRM software such as Salesforce are an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, desktop publishing, presentation software, and spreadsheet applications.
Work Environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
  • Some travel might be required.
