Overview

The Event Framework team is looking for a software engineer to implement large scale distributed systems by actively producing high quality code. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving highly complex problems, motivated, and has an intellectually curious mindset.

Role

Own software delivery tasks (code development, test, deployment) at an application/software component level

Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders

Able to troubleshoot and refactor existing code

Adopt new languages and architecture patterns needed for the work

Influence the decisions made by the team

Demonstrate active learning and sharing of software practices via Guild/Engineering community initiatives

Assist in technical documentation components and services being delivered

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should have following experience and skillsets:

Good understanding of Java (including Spring Boot) and familiar with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT)

Proficiency in Software Development Best Practices (ATDD/BDD, Unit tests)

Experience with modern Messaging systems ( NATS, Kafka)

Experience in monitoring tools such as Dynatrace is a plus

Experience in deployment automation through CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, Chef is a plus
