We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Drywall Foreman to join our team. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for leading a team of drywall professionals, ensuring the highest level of quality workmanship, and maintaining a tight schedule. A thorough understanding of of job process and sequencing is required.
The ideal candidate would be a team player who works well with others, thrives in a performance-based culture and desires long-term employment with opportunities for advancement in the company. If you have a background in drywall and are ready to be a leader this job is for you!
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of drywall professionals, assigning tasks, and providing guidance as needed.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
Communicate effectively with site supervisors and project managers to ensure work is completed on schedule and to required specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to drywall installation and finishing, utilizing problem-solving skills to identify solutions.
Maintain a high level of quality workmanship, adhering to project specifications and standards.
Train and mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Organizing manpower and providing them with everything required to complete the scope of work.
Basic computer skills- Emails, excel spreadsheets/google sheets etc.
Ability to tape, board bead and steel frame when needed is an asset.
Track changes and extras and ensure job efficiency.
Enforcing safety procedures and WCB requirements.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in the drywall industry, with proven leadership experience.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, site supervisors, and project managers.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a tight schedule and adhere to project deadlines.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
Experience with metal framing, taping, and finishing is required.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
