The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Foremen with industrial oil and gas facility experience to work a 6/1 rotation till late October. LOA provided.

Working Conditions

• 6 days on, 1 day off
• 60 hours per week. Most shifts start at 7:00 am but hours may vary based on site requirements
• Overtime and work on weekends as required
• Drug and alcohol test required
• One paid 30-minute break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break per day

Responsibilities And Duties

• Daily interactions with client on progress and project requirements
• Communication with team through daily safety meetings
• Assist General Superintendent on daily reports, schedules and manpower
• Communicating the job to and with tradesmen/ workers
• Supervising crew tasks
• Set up work completion schedules
• Assist with project estimating, including labour, supplies and materials
• Execute work in line with federal, provincial and client and company quality standards, codes and safety regulations

Requirements

• Offer guidance to project team, responsible for onsite day-to-day operations by influencing, developing, and implementing field project plans and schedule
• 5 years of management and supervisory experience
• Ability to operate independently
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Qualified trades personnel with experience in oil and gas industry
• Knowledgeable in the MS suite of applications (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
• Previous plant experience is considered an asset
• Previous experience in civil/earthworks projects an asset
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
