As a System and Instrumentation Engineer, you are responsible for all resources and planning required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products. This includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering.

As a System and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Installing transducers and configure monitoring systems
• Supporting the growth initiatives of the business
• Coordinating different personnel and groups involved in the service execution when applicable
• Completing installation/commissioning documentation
• Understanding contractual commitments and scope of work
• Installing and commissioning Bently Nevada hardware and software in a wide variety of machine types encountered in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, and other process industries
• Performing installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Bently Nevada Hardware and Software Products and Solutions at GE and customer locations
• Driving customer satisfaction through commitment to quality
• Completing standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements timely
• Assuring the service is executed in a timely manner and in accordance with the customer's schedule
• Identifying problems and take the initiative to eliminate those problems for project/service success.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will

• Be available for extensive travel, up to 70%, and to work significant over-time
• Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services)
• Possess a valid driver's license and passport

Desired Characteristics

• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding mechanical and electrical prints
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Solid interpersonal and leadership skills
• Experience using AutoCAD
• Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems
• Familiarity with tools including but not limited to: Bently Nevada TK-Series Test Kits, Thermocouple Calibrator, RTD Calibrator, handheld DMM, function generator, power supply, oscilloscope, basic hand tools (training available as needed)
• Electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills. “Hands-on approach”
• Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; Experience working independently; Experience prioritizing, organizing work, and meeting deadlines
