Service Technician, Fire Suppression Systems

Our Safety Company has an exciting opportunity for two technicians to join

our team as Service Technicians, Suppression Systems in Calgary, AB.

This role will be based out of our Calgary branch, however, will

involve travel to customer sites for diverse maintenance and repair

activities.

What you will do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen

Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related

building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot

and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and

ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals,

specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational

product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and

program system products.

Main Tasks

 * Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and

professional manner.

 * Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.

 * Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract

requirements. Training provided.

 * PC Skills including MS Office & Outlook

 * Any Manufacturer certifications (previous or existing) is a plus;

ANSUL, Kidde, Range Guard, PyroChem, and Special Hazards (CO2, Inergen

and Novec). Sait suppression course. Sait or approved Extinguisher.

 * Valid driver's license & clean record

Physical Safety Requirements

 * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, coupled with

good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity

 * Physically able to work in restricted workspaces, including using

ladders and walkways on large equipment

 * Able to pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing

as well as criminal background checks

 * Physically able to work in restricted or confined workspaces,

including using ladders and walkways on large equipment
