Summary
Within the Bell Canada Business Market Enterprise segment, a Senior Solution Architect – PS DataCenter and Hybrid Cloud has the overall accountability to provide professional service consultation and implementation services to our customers. This dynamic role involves a wide variety of activities such as designing solutions to customer issues, preparing statements of work for the efforts involved in implementing these solutions, participating as a specialist in various client projects, testing, documenting, and implementing solutions and completing the hand-off to the customer(internal or external).
The Senior Solution Architect – PS DataCenter and Hybrid Cloud is accountable to provide proactive or reactive solutions for all the different aspects of problems related to customers, acts as reference for their areas of speciality, define best practices and takes a proactive approach to maintain expertise. Key Responsibilities

• Provide communications to customers and executives throughout the project life cycle
• Meet with Customer Service Account Managers on a regular basis to present results and action plans related to pending activities
• Provide deep datacenter infrastructure expertise in the areas of Compute, Storage, Backups, Hybrid Cloud
• Identify service improvement opportunities and analyze Risk Assessments
• Provide leadership and technical guidance throughout the onboarding of a new solution or technology process
• Participate in the Presales estimation of project efforts
• Responsible to suggest and implement solutions to improve the customer experience
• Produce and contribute to statements of work (SoW) for Client Mandates
• Coordinate with internal teams, partners and suppliers to establish communications and manage expectations.

Critical Qualifications

• 5 years or more industry experience
• Strong knowledge of at least one of hyperscaler (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• In depth knowledge of storage solutions (Block /File/Object) from HPe, NetApp, Dell Unity, Powerstore, EMC VNX, Nimble, IBM , other
• General Experience
• Strong knowledge of networking and security concepts
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare 7.x/8.x) and HCI technologies (VSAN, Hyperflex, Nutanix)

Windows Experience

• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Windows automation
• Detailed working knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Experience in Microsoft Windows System Design in a production environment

Unix Experience

• Working knowledge of UNIX operating systems (Linux, CentOS, Solaris)

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to not only identify issues but also offer solutions
• Ability to rapidly adapt to and adopt emerging technologies
• Strong analytical skills with deductive reasoning capabilities
• Maintain quality and efficiency in a constantly evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies
• Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences degree or equivalent
• Good knowledge of HP and Cisco server and storage hardware (C7000, UCS, Synergy)
• Vendor certifications form, VMware, HP, Dell, Veeam other
• Knowledge of Patch Management/version control tools (Ansible, Satellite, OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes)
• Working knowledge of Backup technologies (NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, Zerto other)
• Good knowledge of San switches (Brocade, MDS)
• Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, F5, or similar Network Vendors
