Job description:

Our team is growing, and we are actively looking to hire a Senior Risk Consultant. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate GRC, you will have an opportunity to improve risk management frameworks and embed risk & return in decision making processes. The Senior Risk Consultant is regarded by the Business as a Subject Matter Expert in risk management who consults with them regularly on risk matters.

Accountabilities:

• Deliver governance requirements and in-depth assessment relating to Business Continuity, Model Risk management, Fraud Management etc.
• Assist and lead the Business Continuity Management program for processes across the organization
• Lead or assist in the development, implementation and improvement of risk management frameworks and procedures to ensure effective risk controls and mitigation
• Support & Consult on business/IT initiated Projects that require input and support by Corporate Risk Management
• Identify and manage financial, strategic, insurance, investment and climate risk
• Provide support in enabling effective management of operational risk at all levels by training and coaching business partners on operational risk management best practices such as developing policies and guidelines.
• Ability to interact with different levels in the organization and to provide key messages to senior management
• Assist in tracking and reporting on risk events and work/consult with the respective business units to perform root cause analysis, identify mitigating actions and track the actions to closure.
• Support the development of operational key risk indicators (KRIs), setting quantitative and qualitative risk threshold limits for key projects and conducting scenario/trend analysis and KRI benchmarking.
• Serve as a lead for issues management and internal controls framework
• Deliver optimal operational risk management reporting with appropriate risk metrics
• Perform GRC risk assessments by leveraging data analytical and advise business stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies and track them to completion.
• Project Lead for risk mitigation projects being delivered by Corporate Risk function

Qualifications:

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with GRC programs and scenario testing
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Risk Management or similar capacity with strong analytic ability
• Business knowledge relating to Insurance Industry, Financial Services and associated Regulatory requirements
• Ability to influence others
• Education or equivalent working experience: Business or technology undergraduate degree
• CRM or equivalent

• Risk Reporting
• Tableau/BI tool
• Experience leading projects
• ServiceNow exposure or experience
• Knowledge in Cyber security, Third Party risk, Model risk, Data Governance
• MS Office
• Knowledge of P&C Personal Lines
• Issue Tracking
• In depth knowledge and practical implementation of Risk Frameworks such as COSO, COBIT are desired
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of risk management practices and oversight functions
