Job Description

Our direct financial client is looking for Senior Python Engineer. Please find the job description below.


Role : Senior Python Engineer

Duration: 12 Months + (long term project up to 2 years)

Location: Toronto, ON/ New York / New Jersey, USA (Hybrid)


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of other programming languages like Java, but our main language is Python
  • Several years of hard core Python development – 5+ post-graduation
  • Familiarity with GraphQL
  • Nice to have: understanding of the FIX Protocol
  • Good understanding of messaging, Solace/Kakfa/RabbitMQ
  • Familiarity with gRPC / protobuf
  • Excellent with MongoDB/Postgres
  • Solid understanding of REST / JSON
  • Nice to have: financial industry experience, these will be given a higher preference
  • Someone with a Computer Science / Engineer background
  • Good understanding of distributed programming
