Senior Peoplesoft Developer Jobs

Position Overview:

Our Toronto client is need of a Senior Peoplesoft HCM Developer for a permanent role.

Hybrid role: 1 day week in Toronto office.

As a Senior PeopleSoft HCM Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, implement, and maintain custom solutions within the PeopleSoft HCM environment. Your expertise will drive the optimization of our HR processes and ensure the seamless integration of our HCM system with other applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the PeopleSoft HCM environment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in best practices and promoting skill growth.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to gather and translate requirements into effective technical designs.
• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom solutions and enhancements within the PeopleSoft HCM system.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to PeopleSoft and HCM systems.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, security, and compliance with coding standards.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure thorough testing and validation of developed solutions.
• Assist in system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning activities to maintain optimal system functionality.
• Implement and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft HCM and other internal/external systems, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

5+ years of hands-on experience in PeopleSoft HCM development, including experience with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Designer, and Integration Broker.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and levels of the organization.
• Strong expertise in PeopleSoft HCM modules, with a focus on Core HR, Benefits Administration, Payroll, and Self-Service functionalities.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
• Solid understanding of HR business processes and practices, with the ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• PeopleSoft certifications are a strong advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing customizations, interfaces, and integrations within the PeopleSoft ecosystem.
