Hawthorne Recruitment is pleased to be seeking on their behalf a passionate and strategic Senior Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Relationships to drive impact within their organization. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications at Medavie and Executive Director, Finance, EMC, you will be responsible for spearheading communication programs that support their business and strategic objectives, while cultivating meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.


In This Role, You Will


  • Offer strategic counsel to the leadership team, while engaging with government stakeholders and building high-impact teams
  • Provide leadership and expertise in media relations, community relations, employee communications, crisis management, change management, and public engagement
  • Develop and execute internal and external communication initiatives that uphold EMC's mission and values
  • Foster employee engagement around brand and program developments, ensuring adherence to branding standards and guidelines


The Ideal Candidate Will Possess


  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, media knowledge, and social media savviness
  • Experience in the healthcare industry in a communications and public relations capacity (preferred)
  • A deep understanding of communication processes, planning, and evaluation, with the capacity to develop innovative solutions
  • A post-secondary degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience, with the ability to lead diverse communication practitioners in a complex organization
  • Strong people management skills and experience working in complex environments
