Job Description

Responsibilities

The Economic and Revenue Forecasting branch is looking for someone agile and flexible to fill our Senior Energy Economist role. Reporting to the Director of Royalty and Revenue Reporting, the Senior Energy Economist is responsible for providing energy markets fundamental analysis to support Non-renewable Resource Royalty (NRR) forecasting and related policy impact assessment work. With a strong background in economics and extensive experience in economic forecasting, the Senior Energy Economist is primarily responsible for monitoring the global supply, demand and pricing fundamentals and transportation dynamics for Alberta’s oil, natural gas, and other liquids markets.


Qualifications

University graduation in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, Finance or related discipline plus at least 6 years of related experience in applying various modelling techniques and other types of quantitative analysis.
