Work Arrangement: Hybrid: You'll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.


As ATB's next Senior Data Analyst, you will work with teams across ATB in support of the development of a Physical Distribution model and Phygital Strategy for Everyday Financial Services (EFS). Reporting to the Director Strategy, Distribution and Experience, the Data Analyst designs, implements and documents data architecture and data modeling solutions, which include the use of relational and dimensional databases. You must be comfortable working within a Google Cloud Platform environment. You immerse yourself in collecting and analyzing data, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling and actionable recommendations. You are a business savvy storyteller that balances data science and action to tackle business challenges and support analytics needs for the EFS Distribution and Experience Team. You will collaborate with our data team and partners throughout ATB to help execute smart, simple and helpful solutions and check back-in to see if we are getting the intended results. You must be an experienced self starter- able to work independently and collaboratively. Finally you are an objective voice that challenges the status-quo and looks out for the best interest of ATB and our clients.


  • Develops narrative to communicate data findings
  • Mine, validate, analyze, present a wide range of data models quickly and effectively with the purpose of enabling the business user to make better, more informed decisions.
  • Participate actively in Community of Practice and Tableau Office hours to leverage best practices in data exploration, scripting, data analytics and visual methods.
  • Develops and uses predictive data models to inform the business of strategic decisions
  • Understands key businesses processes / systems and how they interlink, and is able to leverage that knowledge to support the vision and goal creation of improvement related initiatives / projects
  • Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
  • Synthesizes data using data visualizations and dashboards tailored to the audience/user; tells a narrative around the data to highlight insights, synthesize conclusions, and ultimately drive action / support enterprise strategies
  • Ensures timely delivery of reports/analysis and proactively communicates any barriers


Requirements


  • Experience with reporting platforms and data sources such as Tableau, Looker Studio, Google Analytics
  • Demonstrated experience in KPI identification
  • Solid working knowledge using data transformation and manipulation tools (SQL proficiency, Big Query, Python or other analytical tools).
  • 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • A university degree in Business, Statistics, Computer science, data science or a combination of training and work experience will be considered.
  • Experience working at a Financial Institution or Retail Organization would be an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in building and using predictive modeling
  • Certification in Data Analytics or Business Analytics
