The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will impel creative thinking beyond existing industry practices and client mindset for our exciting new projects, and play a key role in seeing them through to completion.

What’s it like working as a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Questrade?

As a Senior business Systems Analyst, you will communicate with multiple stakeholders to elicit, define, analyze and document requirements for our cutting-edge application developments and enhancements to the existing ones. You will be responsible to manage, author and update various BA/BSA artifacts. You will learn, adopt and practice agile methodologies for Questrade Financial Group (QFG) products and enhancements, as required.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SME), leadership and end-users to elicit, define, analyze and document requirements for new products, projects and their enhancements
• Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for client, technology and business suitability
• Participate in agile Scrum/Kanban teams in the role of BA, Scrum Master and Team Member
• Develop working knowledge of the system (application) or product to be tested from the perspective of the target audience (i.e., client, other user roles etc.)
• Assist QA and end-users with verifying application functionality and the adherence to the requirements
• Manage product backlog, create user stories, epics and user cases documents

• Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, conflict resolution and expectation/relationship management skills
• Working experience with Equity and Options Trading systems.
• Working experience with book of records systems, custody systems, back-office systems, processes and workflows in the investments industry
• Deep understanding of the investment industry.
• Commitment to requirements management practices with ability to control project scope creep and mitigate project risks and constraints
• Ability to understand company-wide project initiatives, see cross-functional opportunities, and comprehend overall company business directives

Additional Kudos If You…

• Understanding of customer statements, CRM2 or other regulatory guidelines on how investments are reported in Canada
• Experience in facilitating meetings, documentation, conducting interviews to elicit and write complete and detailed requirements.
