We are staffing up rapidly and are looking for a passionate and energetic Senior Backend Developer to lead our projects in development!
Backend Developers at the company build the infrastructure for games to create magical experiences for our players. We build highly available, at-scale distributed systems and base decisions on data science. We build tools and processes to support collaboration and efficiency, and most importantly creativity. We love the games we make and foster an environment where we can all learn and grow by challenging decisions so that the best ideas win.
Responsibilities

• Using test-driven development to write well-tested code
• Design and build highly available, resilient, and scalable APIs for our platform
• Perform code reviews to improve our team
• Willingness to apply rapid iteration and prototyping of systems when needed
• Creating beautiful, clever, and fast code
• Working collaboratively with other senior developers on innovative technical architecture
• Collaborate with leaders in product and tech to solve the right problems

Experience and Skills:

• Deep working knowledge of our primary languages - TypeScript, C#, and Java - typically comes with 4+ years
• Experience in technologies such as AWS - Lambda, EKS, SQS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, IAM, Redis, CloudFormation (or better, CDK) is beneficial
• Prior experience with document databases, microservices, event-based architectures, automated testing, and continuous delivery are all required
• Natural ability to problem solve, with proven ability to deliver elegant, innovative solutions to problems, which you should be able to discuss in-depth
