The Opportunity
In the Senior Analyst I role, you will use your analytical skills to support multiple teams, leveraging data and critical thinking to develop practical solutions to operational challenges. At the same time, elevate the analytics and strategic thinking of our teams to become a true partner to our clients. The ability to think on your feet, be curious, and a love of problem solving will be critical in this position. This is a role where you’ll partner with analysts and work cross-functionally to provide clarity and coordinate execution on various marketing initiatives. Monitor & report out on project progress to senior stakeholders, working to solve issues that arise.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful
  • Excellent communication skills: able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. They should be able to clearly explain complex data and analysis in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Strong Excel skills: highly proficient in using Excel to analyze and visualize data. They should be comfortable using more advanced Excel functions (e.g., trimming/parsing strings, vlookup, index match, query, etc.) and tools to clean, organize, and analyze data. Must be comfortable working with unpolished data sets and in ambiguous situations. They should be able to think critically and solve problems creatively.
  • Proactive: self-motivated, able to work independently, and possesses strong organization and time management skills. Takes the initiative to identify and solve problems.
  • SQL Proficiency preferred
  • A “driver” personality: biased toward action, great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.
In addition to these skills, the ideal candidate should also have a strong understanding of business concepts and be able to apply their analytical skills to solve business problems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all data is populated and is quality-checked
  • Analyze information and drive insights or suggestions to make initiatives more efficient and effective.
  • Think on your feet to develop creative, strategic, and practical approaches supported by data to new or nebulous business challenges
  • Monitor & report out on monthly/quarterly burn to senior stakeholders, working to solve questions that arise.
  • Support data explanations in live meeting environment
  • Translate client asks into tactical work plans, coordinating and driving efficient execution.
  • Will require an understanding of the business and making intuitive / informed decisions with minimal supervision
  • Any key data change explanations are added by metrics owners
  • Work may include overseeing the development of automation & tools (eg: dashboarding, machine learning forecasting, and modeling)
  • Responsible for biweekly reporting for senior-level managers and Executives
  • Manages project data for quarterly planning and Quarterly Business Reviews / Annual Business Reviews
Background & Skills
  • Strong critical thinking and business acumen, able to use data to drive actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to present results of complex analysis compellingly to both technical and non-technical audiences at executive level.
  • Solid technical skills using SQL, advanced Excel, Data Studio, or Tableau. Familiarity with Javascript, R, Python is a plus
  • Self-starter with strong time and project management skills, and high attention to detail. Startup attitude and a passion for building new products and businesses.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Finance or other analytics-related field
  • Passion for analyzing users’ behavior and market dynamics.
  • Proven success driving data driven recommendations and action
  • 3-4 years of quantitative work experience in marketing analytics, quantitative finance, risk modeling or similar
  • Ability to learn IT systems quickly to extract and prepare required datasets for analytics
  • Ability to think strategically, execute effectively, and deliver high-quality work against tight deadlines.
