Purpose
This position is responsible for supporting the enablement of analytics capabilities to empower business partners to further enhancing customer experience, increasing revenues and improving operational efficiencies. The Sr. Analyst, Data Enablement plays a critical role in establishing Liberty’s Center of Excellence in data analytics and data architecture. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a passion for combining business acumen and data to develop actionable insights, presenting key learnings, and delivering transformational outcomes in collaboration with our business partners. The team is looking to growth in both Data Engineering and Data Science capacities.

Accountabilities
  • Support and evolve the Advanced Analytics and Data Management capabilities towards empowering citizen data scientists in the business
  • Prepare compelling, meaningful and memorable messaging and presentations to address business questions (both written and verbal)
  • Curate relevant internal and external data sources and maintain data quality for advanced analytics
  • Support and coordinate with business partners on the development and implementation of analytics products
  • Support high-profile and time-sensitive analyses with decision-grade executive-ready quality
  • Foster effective and emphatic partnerships with stakeholders to collaborate and achieve common goals
  • Ensure data products and codes released by the team all have completed and up-to-date documentations available to internal stakeholders
  • Drive analytics innovation by planning and executing the appropriate techniques to solve challenging business problems and rapid prototyping
  • Apply design- and system-thinking concepts with an agile mindset to create and deploy incremental, viable data products by leveraging tools available in-house and in the open-source ecosystems
  • Support data enablement and data analytics business case roadmap and guide its implementation
  • Execute, and evolve data pipelines and data models that support solutions that are relevant and facilitate decision-making
  • Facilitate hands-on sessions in prioritizing user-stories, designing analytical approaches, running experiments, and assessing data product performance
Education and Experience
  • Hands-on experience in data visualization tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services, Tableau, Power BI, SAP SAC
  • Experience cleaning, transforming and visualizing large data sets working with various data formats such as unstructured logs, XML, JSON, flat files, audio and, image
  • Demonstration of research and intrapreneurial accomplishments towards solving business challenges
  • Experience in data modeling to support business reporting and analytics products
  • Hands-on experience with big data systems such as Spark, Hadoop, Presto, Hive and cloud technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, AzureML, Azure Synapse.
  • 3-5+ years of experience delivering enterprise-scale analytics projects facilitating collaboration across teams is a plus
  • 3+ years of professional experience in analytics environment with proven value creation outcomes
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: C#, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure Templates
  • Experience with API design and development, software engineering is a plus
  • Bachelor degree, and/or Master degree(s) in an analytical discipline such as: mathematics, applied science and engineering, physics, computer science, operations research, financial engineering, data science
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
  • Experience with modeling and analysis including machine learning, statistical analysis, operations research, management science and data mining
  • 3-5 years of professional experience with SQL, Python, PySpark
  • Capable of owning an initiative and working with minimal direction; self-starter even when assignments are vague or undefined
  • Experience with framework such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, MxNet and the sci-kit learn library is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) and high emotional intelligence with the ability to get things done by influence
  • Working knowledge of ERP/CIS/GIS tools including but not limiting to SAP, Hyperion, Click, Salesforce, SAP Marketing Cloud, ArcGIS is an asset
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to convey complex conceptual information and ideas on complex issues involving extensive analyses and interpretations
