Senior Accountant , Npo's (Remote)

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support an accounting firm in Vancouver, BC.

This role can be fully remote or hybrid.

Job Summary:

The is role will be tasked with building relationships with team members within charities and non-profit organizations, and providing support in developing their accounting and finance department functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Provide controllership services to clients
• Review accuracy and completeness of their financial reporting and budgeting

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field

Required:

• Leadership skills and the ability to guide and mentor a small team
• 2 years of strong accounting and top-to-bottom bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of various accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, SAGE 50, Xyntax, Adagio, etc.)
• CPA designation

Preferred:

• ICD.D (Institute of Corporate Directors)
• Account management and client-facing customer service
• Indigenous or First Nations organizations
• CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper)
• CMP (Change Management Professional)
• Exposure to multiple clients across varying industries
• Experience working with clients in the nonprofit or charitable sector
• PMP (Project Management Professional)
