What You'll Do

• Document architecture solutions, integration services, frameworks, standards, and models
• Lead privacy and security impact assessments for the TELUS SSA Salesforce application as required
• Work with direct leader, business and IT stakeholders to define the Salesforce strategy and roadmap for TELUS Smart Security & Automation (SSA) Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Services, CPQ Solutions and Force.com
• Define program-level solution architecture for the most critical transformational programs
• Work with stakeholders to identify reasonable migration paths from the current state to target architecture; communicate and obtain stakeholder buy-in to execute on architectural direction
• Actively engage in process improvement, learning activities, and mentoring and coaching for IT team members
• Partner with other architects, business and technical teams, vendors, and partners, to understand business needs and translate them into capability and platform roadmaps
• Develop system roadmaps for the target state for our products and services, and present these to the leadership team
• Responsible for Proof-of-Concepts involving Salesforce technologies
• Work closely with the development team to define and implement elegant, scalable and sustainable technical solutions using the Salesforce technologies, with a focus on adhering to industry standards, best practices and code quality techniques
• Review and approve solution architecture and strategy impacts designed by team members
• Establish criteria for vendor product evaluation and work with vendors and business units where applicable in evaluating technology solutions

Qualifications

What you bring

• Ability to analyze complex problems and conceptualize solutions
• Minimum of 5 years as a Salesforce architect in a large/complex organization or solutions provider
• Ability to communicate clearly the "art of the possible"
• Strong meeting facilitation, negotiation, and coordination skills
• Very strong communications skills, with direct experience writing documentation for and distilling complex concepts into simple messages
• Ability to think outside of the box, with a focus on long-term strategic direction and disruptive trends and technologies without getting distracted by current state challenges
• Ability to look outside the current set of technologies, methodologies, applications, and tools to recognize new opportunities in the industry
• Some project management experience is an asset

Great-to-haves

• Strongly preferred A University degree in Computer Science
• Certified Trailhead Salesforce Architect, Advanced Developer and/or Developer
