The Repair Sales Manager will develop tactical and strategic customer plans to meet financial orders, sales and margin goals. In this role, you will be responsible to call on industrial and utility customers and promote the Motor & Generator / Mechanical Repair capabilities of the ELDS business to identify, develop and close orders, execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Your responsibilities
  • Develop and provide proposals and presentations to customers that convey Electrification’s Industrial Repairs portfolio of repair services, specialty segments, and service center capabilities geared to specific customer segments / targets
  • Develop customer relationships from transactional to enterprise selling level
  • Accurately identify opportunities, forecast orders and sales for a given sales territory in Salesforce.com on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Develop new customers contact and conversion goals and grow existing customer market share by providing market price input on all transactions
  • Meet and exceed individual orders targets with focus on convertibility and profitable growth
  • Work closely with additional ABB Electrification’s Services sales team resources to maximize customer touch time and opportunity identification
  • Own orders growth objectives in M&G & Mechanical repairs, and other offerings as supported by local and network of ABB Electrification’s Industrial Service Centers
  • Own responsibility for the growth of ABB Electrification’s Industrial Repairs product and service portfolio at industrial, utility, government, and commercial end user customers in the areas as assigned with focus on M&G (motors & generators) & Mechanical repairs
Your background
  • High proficiency in utilizing analytical software and sales tools including Salesforce.com, RCS, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Greenbelt certification or equivalent Quality certification
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required (estimated at 30% of time)
  • Ability and willingness to possess, obtain and/or maintain a valid driver's license
  • Experience in establishing value-based pricing combined with reality-based product and service differentiation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years of Marketing, Sales, Customer Service or hands-on experience associated with M&G and/or Mechanical service and repairs)
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in applying solutions for motor and generator repairs - ITO or OTR
  • Ability and willingness to meet ABB requirements for operating a vehicle
