We have an aggressive growth forecast for 2023/2024 and beyond, with a number of new product releases on the horizon. Additionally, our core technology is increasingly being adopted in different market sectors such as mining, autonomous vehicles, the food industry, and others.
We are looking for a junior sales and marketing associate who will communicate, support, and interact with our customers, who are industry leaders in their fields. You will learn how to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies for our products and services, and how to understand their needs and pain points. You will also learn how to compile concise and helpful emails, arrange for meetings, develop sales proposals, close deals, and ensure customer satisfaction post sales.
This is a great opportunity to get a crash course in industrial sales and marketing and touch everything from lead generation to customer retention. You will gain valuable experience and insights that will help you advance your career in this field.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field

- Must be eligible to work in B.C., including:
- A Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada or authorized in writing to work in Canada under the federal Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- 16-years of age or older as per B.C.’s Employment Standards Act.
- Must have completed their training or education in at least one of these areas: business, communication, marketing, digital marketing, whether at a post-secondary institution or through other recognized pathways on or after December 1, 2019 and before the placement start date.
- The candidate must be fluent in speaking and writing English
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Other recognized pathways, such as micro-credentials, are eligible if the content is meaningful (minimum 15 hours to complete) and, in the opinion of the employer, has prepared the candidate for effective employment.
Job duties:
- Participate in business development meetings with customers, stakeholders
- Update and maintain the company CRM (Copper and HubSpot)
- Generate action items per customer account
- Categorize, and update the business development opportunities
- Identifying action items needed for customer success in the context of each project
- Reach out to existing customers and set up meetings when appropriate
- Evaluate different CRM tools and compare to the company’s existing CRM.
- Execute a transition from the existing CRM (Copper) to the replacement CRM (HubSpot).
- Generate quotes
- Set up follow-up meetings
