Job Title: RF Hardware Design

Our signature technology is a medical RADAR that delivers swift, precise, dependable, and non-invasive tissue diagnostics to assist individuals with skin-related ailments worldwide. Furthermore, we are adapting the same RADAR technology to enhance spatial awareness for our client's assets in orbit.


Job Summary:

We are seeking an RF Hardware Design Intern to join our team. The intern will assist with the design, development, testing, and documentation of new RF hardware products. The successful candidate will work with a cross-functional team to ensure that the RF hardware designs meet the requirements of the product specifications. This is a paid internship opportunity.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the hardware designs meet product specifications and timelines.
  • Assist with the design of new RF hardware products.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements.
  • Assist with the selection of components and suppliers.
  • Assist with the assembly and testing of prototypes.
  • Support the development of product documentation, including test plans and user manuals.
  • Develop schematics and PCB layouts using CAD tools.
  • Support ongoing projects and initiatives within the RF Hardware Design team.
  • Conduct simulations using tools such as ADS, CST, or HFSS


Requirements:

  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting hardware systems.
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers, FPGAs, and other embedded systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using CAD tools such as Altium Designer
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Knowledge of RF measurement techniques and equipment
  • Experience with RF simulation tools such as ADS, CST, or HFSS.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with embedded programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Assembly.
  • Familiarity with power electronics, control systems, and signal processing.
  • Understanding of high-speed signal integrity (SI) techniques.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC, MIL-STD, and ANSI.
  • Understanding of antenna design principles and techniques
  • Familiar with the how radio systems are used in the aerospace and medical industries.
