Our Vancouver office is currently seeking a Resource Assistant to work closely with our Legal Administrative Assistants and Assistant Replacements, reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager.


The Resource Assistant plays a key role in completing various administrative tasks assigned by Legal Administrative Assistants (LAAs) and Assistant Replacements (ARs) to facilitate completing their assigned duties. The ideal candidate is a high energy, results oriented individual with ambition to drive the administrative demands to directly support LAAs and ARs.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:


Provide administrative support to the Legal Administrative Assistants and Assistant Replacements, on a variety of tasks including but not limited to:


  • Arrange for pick-up and delivery of tasks as requested.
  • Maintain a daily record of all tasks completed.
  • Scanning documents.
  • Perform quality control checks on all completed tasks.
  • Build strong working relationships with all levels across the Firm.
  • Ensure service standards are met or exceeded.
  • Filing (in both paper and digital format).
  • CD and DVD duplication.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Complete photocopy jobs (including binding as required).


The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:


  • Excellent organizational skills, with exception attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with the team utilizing strong communication skills and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High school graduate (grade 12 diploma).
  • Must be result driven, resourceful, adaptable and possess a high degree of common sense and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability in MS Office programs and experience working with calendar management tools is a must (e.g., Outlook)
  • Collaborative approach and a strong team player.
  • Office Administration certification from an accredited post secondary institution is considered an asset.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to a variety of internal clients.
  • 1-2 years experience providing administrative support required.
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment, handle stringent deadlines and work with a large volume of tasks, with interruptions and changing priorities.
