We have an urgent opening for the position of Resident Engineer (Underground Powerhouse) to join our team on-site, for the ongoing Dasu Hydropower Project in Pakistan. We are actively in search of international highly qualified and experienced professionals to fill this crucial role.


Qualifications:

  • The candidate should hold a minimum of a graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. A Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering will be considered an advantage.

Experience

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of overall experience, with at least 8 years in related disciplines.
  • Specifically, the candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer in an underground powerhouse.

Assignment Location:

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dasu Dam, Pakistan.

Assignment Duration:

The expected assignment period is from the present time until January 2028 (tentative).

The work schedule will involve 3 to 4 months on-site followed by 2 to 3 weeks off.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experts on daily activities.
  • Manage construction supervision for UndergroundPowerhouse Complex, including tunnels, caverns, chambers, and switchyard.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documents, including completion reports.
  • Verify contractor's monthly payment statements with Quantity Surveyors.
  • Coordinate with other sections on interface works.
  • Assist in claim settlement.
  • Maintain construction records.
  • Monitor contractor's resources and materials through inspections.
  • Support Contract Engineer in issuing variation orders.
  • Assist in issuing taking-over certificates.
  • Review and approve construction plans, schedules, materials, and documents.

Job Type: Full-time

  • Salary: From $15,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Master's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Civil engineering: 15 years (preferred)

Expected start date: 2023-08-01
