Resident Assistant/ Resident Aide– Extendicare

This position is for our Port Hope, located in Port Hope.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Transport resident to onsite while practicing residents’ right to choose.
• Participates in Quality Improvement activities and advocates for the resident/family individual needs and preferences.
• Collaborates with residents, families and team members to maintain a positive, supportive and safe and respectful environment for all while demonstrating empathy, concern and interest in providing quality customer service.
• Performing housekeeping tasks including disinfecting high touch surfaces.
• Assists with nutrition and feeding as well as additional resident personal hygiene tasks.

What You Bring

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Grade 12 Diploma
• Demonstrates experience and interest in working with a population of older adults
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
