- Plan, implement, and review client education using experience and knowledge of content area and adult education principles.
- Coordinate transplant related services for clients throughout the province, from the time of referral to the time of transplant including assessing client/family needs, performing preliminary assessments and coordinating tests, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary transplant team and identifying and reviewing strategies to meet needs.
- Collaborate with the BC Transplant Society (BCTS) multi-disciplinary transplant team for the coordination of referral and assessment of clients for transplant and the selection of recipients and their transfer to the transplant hospital.
- Participate in coordinating recipient related activities for client activation in collaboration with the health care team.
- Communicate and shares information about transplant related services with other health care professionals, agencies and/or community members.
- Participate on various internal and external multidisciplinary committees as a representative of transplant services.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of two (2) years' recent, related experience including one years experience in adult patient education or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to solid organ transplantation.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, leader and facilitator.
- Knowledge of adult education principles and methods.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, demonstrate technique, and facilitate learning with clients.
- Demonstrated listening and information seeking skills that promote communication and lead to a co-operative approach to problem solving within a multidisciplinary setting.
- Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
- Demonstrated skill in CPR techniques.
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client and family centred model of care.
- Computer literacy with word processing and patient information systems skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, clients and their families, both one-on-one and in groups.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, establish workload priorities in collaboration with others and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of research process and methodology.

- Work closely with the Manager to implement, maintain and provide property management due diligence including financial, administrative and operational support to ensure optimal use and function of leased and owned assets to meet the client’s needs.
- Monitor expenditures and reviews invoices to ensure the Manager has processed and approved all invoices within the pre-authorized amounts; investigates and/or reports on variances to the Manager for follow up action.
- Assist with producing related reports, correspondence, presentation materials, spreadsheets and memos using a variety of software applications, as required.
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with health and safety requirements. Immediately reports unsafe situations by notifying supervisor or other appropriate personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Assist the Manager with budget preparation ensuring financial information is current and accurately compiled; monitors and tracks expenditures for minor client requests including identifying trends; advises Manager of financial trends.
- Perform reviews of operating and maintenance costs in accordance with lease requirements; works with landlords to confirm operating and maintenance costs and performs account reconciliations for review and approval by the Property Manager to facilitate payments, where appropriate.
- Responsible for the ensuring the accuracy of the asset database program for the organization, including the input of leases, contracts, contact information, landlord and tenant responsibility information; updates and maintains the information to ensure accurate and proper maintenance of records and reporting.
- Assist the Manager with landlords and vendor relationships to ensure that facilities are maintained and managed as per agreed contract and/or service agreements; issues and tracks work order requests and requests for services (RFS) to third party service providers to ensures a timely response; monitors and tracks service complaints and ensures the Manager is advised.
- Manage tenant-related information through varying checklists, forms and reports, including but not limited to estoppel certificates, monthly rent roll and lease abstract approvals.
- Assist the Manager with property management issues by conveying policies and priorities, obtaining quotes and coordinating work to ensure issues are resolved or forwarded to the appropriate area or individual.
- Communicate policies and information to key contacts such as clients, external consultants, property management provider and vendors on operational matters in a manner that promotes positive and respectful relationships.
- Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline, supplemented with three (3) to five (5) years' recent, related experience in healthcare project planning, real estate and/or leasing management, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team including large engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to provide insight and analysis.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical expertise to support to clients.
