Quarry Supervisor Jobs

The Quarry Supervisor is a professional, who directly supervises employees in the Quarry Department in extracting minerals such as limestone and rock.

Responsibilities Of The Position Include The Following

• Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
• Computes amount of material required to complete job demand.
• Examines material to verify conformance to specifications.
• Promotes environmental awareness and assures that equipment operates in accordance with plant environmental goals.
• Review production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements.
• Reads mining laws and safety regulations, and issues directives to workers to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
• Be committed to reducing the consumption of energy to the maximum extent without affecting productivity while providing the following the benefits: increase the profitability of the Company, conservation of energy, and minimizing the emission of greenhouse gases.
• Monitors and controls blasting safety through the plant.
• Develops employees understanding of the cement manufacturing process on an ongoing basis.
• Monitors and controls movement of material on automated conveyor system.
• Develops and maintains preventative maintenance on all rolling stock, Monitors road maintenance to reduce tire costs.
• Promotes safe work practices and provides resources to assure that equipment and personnel operate in a safe manner.
• Coordinates the department activities to minimize downtime, makes efficient use of manpower and eliminates recurrent problems.
