Who We Are?

ONxpress Transportation Partners (ONxpress) were chosen by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to enter the Development Phase of the On-Corridor Works project – the largest project in Metrolinx’s GO Rail Expansion program. Unprecedented in its scale and complexity, this multi-billion-dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification, more frequent service, shorter journey times and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Region.

Overview

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing operations on site, on Union Station environment, through the coordination of various trades required to perform an investigation campaign, for the full extension of the Union Station.

The investigation campaign will include Survey, Mechanical (HVAC, plumping, drainage), Electrical( Load monitoring, lighting), and Structural and Architectural Investigation, and might be performed during the day or at night, depending on the area and conditions.

Responsibilities:

· Represent ONxpress on the field and coordinate with Metrolinx representatives.

· Oversee daily operations and manage directly supervising subcontractors.

· Ensure that works are performed as per Go Rail, ONxpress and Metrolinx safety Guidelines.

· Conduct job briefings, safety talk and coordinate works with subcontractors.

· Produce daily reports of performed activities.

· Coordinate with project coordinator and Superintendent if field technical problems occur.

· Recognize, document and report delays.

· Work well with others as a team

· Conduct weekly ONxpress safety inspection.

· All other duties as required.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years of experience in a role of supervision in a rail or buildings projects

· Competent supervisor in the province of Ontario

· Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding ONxpress policies and procedures.

· Basic computer skills

· Experience in rail work environment, Go Rail station building projects is highly preferred.

· Previous experience as a certified Journeyperson or HVAC, Plumping, mechanical related experience preferred.
