Quality Inspector Jobs

The Quality Department of Kontron Canada is growing! We are looking for a Quality Inspector who will perform different types of inspection.

This Inspector will contribute to different design projects for high performance servers used in avionics, the medical and industrial fields (HMI, rugged box PC), transport (autonomous vehicles) and telecommunications (Data Center, Edge, 5G).

An Overview Of The Challenges Ahead

• You will perform a visual and dimensional inspection of incoming components/products according to the approved documentation;
• You may be required on occasion to perform R&R gauges, source and/or process inspections at suppliers and subcontractors as well as visual inspections at customers;
• You will accomplish pre-functional tests on certain types of incoming material;
• You will perform ‘’In Process/Final/OBA’’ inspection of products according to the approved documentation;
• You will ensure that components/products received match the purchase orders and the list of approved components;
• You may be required to perform logistical tasks such as receiving/shipping material;
• Finally, you may be asked on occasion to travel within 300 km of the company, or overseas.
• You will document and maintain the quality department activities according to the established processes such as inventory management, calibration of test stations, calibration of screwdrivers;
• You will write inspection and/or non-compliance reports and distribute them;

You Will Impress Us If You Have

• Education: Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) or college diploma (DEC) in electronics or equivalent experience;
• Assets: Knowledge of the ERP system (SAP), knowledge of assembly and mechanical manufacturing processes (sheet metal, extrusion, coating, riveting, etc.);
• Languages: French and functional English (oral and written).
• Profile: Autonomous, meticulous, organized, responsible, good learning ability, good sense of observation, able to handle heavy loads (15 kg);
• Knowledge: IPC acceptability standards for electronics assembly, mastering of electrical and mechanical measuring instruments, Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), mechanical drawing readings, Microsoft Office Suite;
• Experience: Ideally a minimum of 2 years in a similar position;
