Project Manager - Jobs

Job Summary: The Project Manager is the communications hub, a prioritizer, a researcher, a presenter, and is responsible for implementing initiatives and enhancements that lead to the ultimate success of the project assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
• Align stakeholders around the vision and objectives for the project.
• Stay on top of industry news and pay close attention to the new features that your competitors build.
• Develop and support innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business that align with system architecture and strategic goals
• Determine when to use waterfall vs agile approach for managing projects
• Develop and train employees involved in projects in order for them to complete and fulfill their project deliverables.
• Oversee operational management of project resources· Review and provide input on project documentation
• Define the vision and strategy for the projects through deep collaboration with internal and external members.
• Brainstorm ideas and decide what to build and when to build it maximize project success; ideas can come from stakeholders and metrics.
• Oversee strategic roadmap in your project area based on customer research and business needs
• Run meetings with various departments to ensure projects are moving according to plan. Manage issues as they arise and mediate potential issues that may arise with projects.
• Support various departments with new, ongoing, and future projects.
• Manage IT Application Development and Product Development projects
• Establish performance measures for project members and provide meaningful and timely feedback.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies as required (Sprint planning, daily stand ups, refinement, retrospective, demos)
• Define and manage the project charter, budget, scope and project management plan or their equivalent (Project/Epic definition, MVPs, budget, etc.) following the Agile framework implementation across SinaLite
• Collaborate on the review and analysis of key business processes relating to their project
• Provide project management direction and guidance to project teams, adhering to proven project management methodologies including Agile Scrum methodologies and processes
• Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing a budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Work within project portfolio framework and adhere to defined standards and guidelines
• Meet with Stakeholders and Management to determine potential optimizations and needs for potential future projects.
• Ensure that projects adhere and are completed within budget
• Work with Web Development and other departments (such as operations, marketing, HR, etc.) and other stakeholders ( marketing, management, operations, software development, vendors, customers) to streamline websites, and other SinaLite assets and practices.
• Plan and coordinate with stakeholders to build a project from start to launch and post launch optimization.
• Define and assess risk of projects to minimize disruption to project completion
• Collaborate with resource / functional managers to effectively resource projects
• Roadmap and plan development of projects.
• Provide regular updates and information to project stakeholders regarding project progress and emerging issues.
• Establish and follow metrics in and KPIs (developed in conjunction with management) to determine projects and campaigns for: Growth & Activation metrics, Retention metrics, Engagement metrics, User happiness metrics, and Revenue metrics, and more.

Requirements

• Analytical mind. Able to sift through company and market wide data to determine new products / improvements to current products.
• University Degree in computer science or an analytical discipline
• A strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve extraordinary results in a high performance culture
• Understanding of building online brands and generating inbound traffic.
• Exemplary communications skills specifically in communicating complex/technical information to a wide audience
• Ability to learn quickly and easily adapt to a wide variety of challenges.
• Certified Scrum Master designation is an asset
• Strong ability to effectively work in a team and individual environment.
• Customer centric with proven leadership, coaching, mentoring, and people development skills.
• Excellent skills in project management and planning, using tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA etc.
• At least 2-3 Years of project management experience in IT application development / product development projects.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
