Job Title: Project Manager
- Ensure all project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Collect status updates from team members and suppliers, presenting aggregated information to management in the form of metrics, risks, and actions.
- Organize and monitor the scheduling, budget, and technical performance of company and client projects from initiation through delivery.
- Present project plans to management teams for approval and lead project-related meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project timelines, scope, and budget.
- Support negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, coordinating proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities, ensuring the project stays on time and on budget.
- Ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects, acting as an advisor to the program team.
- Develop and present comprehensive project documentation, including agendas, project milestone documents, project charters, schedules, communication and project plans, and status reports.
- Manage moderate to high complexity projects, engaging stakeholders proactively to identify needs and gain buy-in.
- Proactively engage clients on technical matters and project subject matter, maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identify and mitigate risk areas, lead project cost estimation and management, and proactively manage change control processes.
- Contribute to project success through industry, technology, or process expertise.
- Contribute to new business development and product line expansion in collaboration with the Sales function.
- Contribute to internal process and methodology development.
- Act as a liaison between customers and the delivery team, facilitating the gathering of requirements, defining project objectives and scope.
- Ensure adherence to master plans and schedules, developing solutions to program problems, and providing guidance to the program team.
- Apply expertise in industry practices and procedures, leveraging extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve company goals.
- Contribute to activities and documents supporting client business development and ongoing relationships.
- Expertise in developing and documenting project plans, as well as requirements analysis and decomposition.
- Proficiency in multiple project management methodologies, such as waterfall and agile.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to and utilize new technologies.
- 6-10 years of experience leading moderate to high complexity projects in a project management or senior technical role.
- Attention to detail and a passion for project management and delivery discipline.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience in team leadership, contributing to the professional and personal development of team members.
- Experience with all phases of the SDLC, with a strong understanding of current industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required) in Computer Science or Engineering, or a 2-year diploma with equivalent work experience; PM certifications preferred.
- Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
