POSITION SUMMARY

A successful Project Manager is responsible for timely, responsive, and proactive management of EV Charger projects (new construction, retrofits, additions, etc.). from audit to contracting to final commissioning while meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

This requires a strong understanding and background in project management fundamentals and a firm understanding of the standards and technical specifications of EV Charging equipment.

The incumbent has to ensure that proper structures, processes, and manpower are in place throughout the life of the project in order to efficiently and effectively manage projects within expected timelines/budgets while promoting EVSTART’s quality and safety objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management - Management of EV Charger projects including electrical retrofit requirements (transformers, panels, conduits, and communication kits).

Regulatory Compliance and Safety - Promotes safety and regulatory compliance in all project-related aspects

Technical Assistance & Reporting – Provision of technical support and necessary tracking reports

Process Improvement - Ongoing process improvements to support department and corporate objectives

REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Engineering Degree; either in electrical or mechanical fields of study is strongly preferredor

College Certificate or Diploma in a mechanical or electrical field may be accepted with strong experience displayed

Work Experience

Mechanical and electrical aptitude with an understanding of ESA regulations

Ideally 2-3 years of experience in project management preferably in the utility, sub-metering, or construction industry

Certifications

PMP designation is strongly preferred

MBA or Lean Six Sigma training and certification; an asset
