JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR | #1733


SERVICE AREA: Vocational & Community Services


LOCATION: Starworks


START DATE: June 19, 2023


TERM/STATUS: Permanent Full Time


SCHEDULE/HRS: Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00 // 37.5 hours per week - Hours subject to change


HOURLY WAGE: $25.19 as per collective agreement


The Role


The Production Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of production including: production worker supervision and customer contact, ensuring production targets are met on time and on budget, and accurate reporting and documenting production line & production worker performance.


Requirements


Education & Experience:


  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel; familiar with databases.
  • Forklift operator’s license or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to implement instructional and other support programs for people in a production setting.
  • 1 year experience working with people with barriers to employment.
  • Experience with project and inventory management.
  • Task analysis and ability to break down tasks and train staff on new projects.
  • Degree or minimum two-year diploma in operations management, human services, vocational rehabilitation or business administration.
  • Superior customer service skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • 2 years’ experience in a production warehouse environment preferred.


Standard Requirements Of The Production Supervisor Include


  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • Medical Clearance
  • Industrial First Aid and CPR
  • Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Criminal Record Clearance
