Compensation: 85K-110K base; bonus benefits

Work on-site 5 days a week Mississauga -Brampton area

Our client is a very well-established global leader in the metal industry. They have a job open for Custom Metal Fabrication Production Manager for one of their custom fabrication divisions. This is a senior leadership role to lead a site of 10-15 welders, cutters, operators. You will establish process flow and lead the fabrication shop through change as they transform their ERP through a global SAP implementation. You will champion SAP implementation at the site, streamline processes through drawing stage, cutting lathe and welding. This is a hands-on work culture on the shop floor and work with corporate Head office to ensure company core values and objectives are followed.

This is a hands-on, ‘roll-up-the-sleeve’ work culture where you work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Shop floor operators, cutters, welders, CNC and Lathe operators to manufacture best in class custom designed structural steel products. The jobs require work on site from Mississauga- Brampton, ON area, five days a week

Custom Metal Fabrication Production Manager is a hands-on senior leadership role to lead the Custom fabrication shop. You will ensure manufacturing projects are complete as per Engineering drawings, on-time delivery and manage the plant as a Cost Center to ensure profitability. You will lead Materials Management, Inventory, Production Planning, Capacity Optimization, Warehousing and Transportation, lead special projects to reduce costs in manufacturing, fabrication inventory and transportation. You will work closely with corporate operations analyze existing processes, define SOPs, KPIs and set up measures in the metal fabrication plant.

Custom Metal Fabrication Production Manager will already be in GTA, with minimum 8-10 years of custom metals parts fabrication manufacturing experience; a Mechanical Engineering degree or CIT preferred with ideally 4-5 years of Plant Production Management experience in metal steel custom fabrication (MUST ) ; experience leading machine shop employees in custom fabrication , proven experience in managing costs, budgets, and excellent interpersonal skills in English communication , Lean, Continuous Improvement highly preferred
