Job Description
Do you want a job that pays weekly? If so, it's all possible with this Production Associate opportunity in Kelowna, BC Adecco is currently hiring for temporary, full-time Associates for our client that majors in the Cannabis Industry. In this role, you will work directly with cannabis focus is on cultivation with the potential to move to processing and pre-rolls later.

  • Pay rate: $20.31/hour

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily care and maintenance of plants
  • Responsible for appropriate documentation of tasks completed and duties discharged
  • Work cohesively in a group or independently as required
  • Must show high-level of initiative and passion with respect to growing plants
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Complete tasks including but not limited to, seeding, cutting, transplanting, watering, pest control, etc.
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Must be able to work variable shifts
  • For implementing all the tasks in the growing process pursuant to relevant Standard Operating Procedures ("SOPs") as instructed by the Directors of Propagation and/or Cultivation and corresponding Front Line Managers
  • Always maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area, including routine cleaning
  • Able to follow direction
  • Ability to work with and handle disinfection chemicals
  • Ability to lift 25kg or more
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment / machinery
  • Maintain general care of tools, technical equipment, and production facility
  • Cultivation (assist with seeding, cutting, transplanting, watering, harvesting, pest control, etc)
  • Adhere to SOPs relevant to duties as assigned involving the production of cannabis.
  • Ability to work in warm conditions
Qualifications:
  • Must have meticulous attention to detail
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to carry out often repetitive tasks at a continuously high level of quality
  • Must have a clear criminal background
  • Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Cannabis Industry
  • Willingness and flexibility to complete any task that may be required
  • Capable of lifting 50lbs
  • Personal protective equipment required: safety shoes
