Production Artist (Plushies/Figures)

We turn internet culture into high-quality licensed collectible plushies and designer toy figures. Based in Belgium, we are a passionate startup with a small dedicated team. Our mission is to turn the internet's most iconic moments and beloved personalities into tangible memories.

We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join our creative team and play a crucial role in bringing our character designs to life. As a 2D Production Artist, you will be responsible for transforming concept art into production-ready designs, ensuring the final products are not only visually appealing but also feasible for manufacturing. Your responsibilities include creating specification sheets in Adobe Suite describing the pantone colors, dimensions, shapes, and materials of our products. You'll also be responsible for creating turnarounds of the characters as reference for the 3D modelers.

The ideal candidate is skilled in Adobe Suite, has a great understanding of design, with an excellent eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the production team to address any potential design challenges and find optimal solutions.
• Turn concept characters into vectorized art using Adobe Illustrator
• Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in plushie and figure design to bring innovative ideas to the table.
• Create turnarounds and color guides as reference to 3D modelers
• Ensure the designs are feasible for manufacturing, considering factors like scale, material thickness, and color limitations.
• Create spec sheets with pantone colors and measurements for manufacturers
• Provide valuable feedback and suggestions during the design process to improve the overall quality of the products.

Requirements

• Strong interest and passion for internet and pop culture
• Knowledge of Pantone Colors
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of figure and plushie design, understanding materials, shapes, angles, and color limitations for feasible production.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate ideas clearly.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Bonus

• Knowledge of Mandarin to translate feedback to manufacturers
• Previous working experience in the toy industry
