Position Overview

Mi9 Retail is seeking an experienced merchandise/inventory management Product Owner (PO) to work with our core product development team as well as our customers. The compensation will match your level of education and experience.

This is a permanent full-time work-from-home position to be based in either Toronto or Montreal areas. Remote applicants within Ontario and Quebec are also welcomed.

What you will be doing:

• Empathetically communicate with internal and external stakeholders demonstrating a sense of urgency
• Understand client requirements in the area of merchandise management
• Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions
• Report to the Product Manager
• Actively engage and collaborate with clients, software engineers, quality engineers, other POs and PMs, and the support and professional services teams
• Write User Stories for our software development team
• Actively participate in our agile SCRUM software development process

The impact you will have:

• Previous business experience in retail such as a buyer or similar is a big plus
• Product knowledge of merchandise management solutions for mid-market retailers
• Ability to manage communication apprising development status and issues to clients, team members, management, and other stakeholders
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
• You will enable the product development team to focus on well-defined priorities thus optimizing overall value delivery to our clients.
• JIRA/Confluence knowledge is a plus
• Must have excellent management, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Scrum/Agile methodology skills are required, CSPO certification is not a must but is appreciated
• Must know software development processes and should be able to manage multiple projects on different tracks
• Superior attention to detail
