Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with proven expertise in the areas of product development of digital banking and financial services with responsibility for planning, development, growth, direction, ongoing maintenance, and overall performance of IC Savings’ full suite of products, channels and services.


Working closely with the President and CEO, the key areas of responsibility will include market research and analysis, marketing, and sales support, and recommending enhancements to deliver products and services that align with IC Savings business strategy and to meet the needs of our members.


You will provide strategic input, product and service ideation, design, pricing recommendations, working with Marketing and Finance to ensure tactical programme management and results for each product of this suite. You will monitor the competitive marketplace, identify products and/or enhancements to our existing suite, propose, and lead in the development of new products and services to meet our members’ needs, monitor pricing, and recommend changes, as necessary. You will ensure that our member-serving teams and branches have a thorough understanding of the features and benefits of existing and new products and services.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities include:

  • Conduct analytical work and research as required for Product initiative development
  • Provide support to Marketing in their development of advertising and marketing initiatives align to Product initiatives
  • Develop business cases and supporting rationale for recommendations
  • Work with key internal and external partners and stakeholders to plan, execute, and successfully launch IC Savings digital and in person banking products and services
  • Monitor the competitive environment to ensure our products and services are relevant in features, delivery, and price identifying emerging trends
  • Manage project costs and budgets
  • Develop strong key relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders using strong communication and diplomacy skills


Factors That Will Contribute to Your Success

You are a self-starter who values teamwork and are a disciplined and knowledgeable professional who places importance on relationship-building and customer service. Working well under pressure, you will also have/be:

  • Degree or diploma in business, management, marketing, similar discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years of proven financial services background
  • Must be comfortable with fast pace, uncertainty and working in a constantly evolving organization
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to build rapport and partner effectively with senior management, cross-functional teams, and subject matter experts
  • Three (3) years of work experience in financial services product management with in-depth thorough and current knowledge of financial products and services, and Information Technology specifically pertaining to online financial services and applications
  • Knowledge of current financial markets, products, and services, understanding the market, economic and regulatory forces that influence them
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, and superior presentation skills
  • Current knowledge of Information Technology offerings and trends pertaining to financial services
  • A strategic thinker who takes initiative, with strong conceptual skills, and a pragmatic focus on implementation
  • Very strong focus on customer service and customer experience excellence
  • Flexible, analytical, results oriented, solution oriented, organized


Working conditions

  • Standard hours based on 37.5-hour work week: Monday to Wednesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with flexibility to work extended hours to achieve deliverables, when needed
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by being able to successfully perform the essential functions of the job; these include, but are not limited to sitting, considerable use of computer and phone, commuting, seldom moving items up 25 pounds in weight (e.g., marketing materials, file boxes).
  • Professional office environment
