Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Picker/Packer and Inventory Control Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and efficient handling of inventory, as well as maintaining the overall organization and cleanliness of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include selecting and packing customer orders, controlling inventory, and contributing to the smooth operation of our distribution process.

Roles and Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment:

• Pack items securely and appropriately to ensure safe transportation and delivery.
• Accurately pick items from designated storage locations based on customer orders.
• Double-check order accuracy and completeness before shipping.

Inventory Control:

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure seamless inventory replenishment.
• Monitor inventory levels of products and packaging materials and anticipate restocking needs to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

Parts/Inventory Validation:

• Inspect items for damage, defects, or discrepancies before packing.
• Ensure that all items are in compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Facility Cleanliness and Organization:

• Contribute to the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that items are properly labeled and stored.
• Regularly clean and organize storage locations, aisles, and packing stations.

Collaboration:

• Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
• Collaborate with colleagues to optimize warehouse processes and identify areas for improvement.

Other operations projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Proven experience in a warehouse, distribution, or inventory control role.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift and move heavy items, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Familiarity with inventory control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking, packing, and data entry.
• Effective communication skills for addressing inventory-related issues and collaborating with team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in inventory management or logistics is a plus.

Wage: $18/hour
