Job Description

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Physiotherapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Our client is Atikokan General Hospital in Atikokan, ON. The successful candidate will provide quality patient-centred care, demonstrating sound professional judgment and clinical competence. They will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physiotherapy services to meet our patients' needs, all while working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate patients' physical condition, functional capabilities, needs, and goals to determine a comprehensive treatment plan.
  2. Implement physiotherapy treatment programs using a variety of physical treatment modalities and techniques.
  3. Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  4. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about treatment plans, exercises, and home programs.
  5. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
  6. Adhere to all regulatory standards and professional codes of ethics.
  7. Participate in continuous professional development activities and maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiotherapy best practices.


Qualifications

  • Valid class G motor vehicle license and access to reliable vehicle.
  • Registered by and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO) for practice in all applicable clinical areas
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse patient populations with varying levels of complexity.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems is a plus.
  • Covid-19 Vaccination
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work well within a team.
  • Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Authorized Assistive Devices Program Assessor (or eligible with willingness to register).
  • Current CPR certification
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized school of Physiotherapy.
