The successful candidate will function as part of the Endoscopy Team by preparing the procedure room with equipment and supplies as per procedure requirements in collaboration with nursing staff. Responsibilities include: assisting nursing staff with scope handling post procedures to prepare for the reprocessing phase; cleaning equipment and stretchers in collaboration with housekeeping; cleaning rooms between patient procedures; transporting patients as required by the Endoscopy team; stocking procedure rooms with supplies as required and other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Medical terminology an asset
• Recent experience with preparation of medical supplies and equipment in a patient care environment preferred
• Grade 12 education, or equivalent
• A positive work and attendance record is essential
• Experience working in an endoscopy environment preferred
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
• Minimum one year hospital work experience preferred
