Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Regional Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Site Manager is responsible and accountable for the planning and management of patient-centered pharmaceutical care services designed for their assigned site(s) and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
As a member of the Department’s Leadership Team, the incumbent ensures that pharmaceutical care services are aligned with strategic priorities and meet high standards of quality and patient safety.
The incumbent oversees the day-to-day operations of the site’s clinical pharmacy team and leads the clinical pharmacy staff in establishing efficient and effective delivery of pharmacy services. These services will ensure a safe, timely, and cost-effective medication management system that supports patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
The incumbent will exercise the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Travel may be required to other Southern Health-Santé Sud sites.
Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience working as a pharmacist
• Previous management experience is desirable
• Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
• Completion of a hospital residency program is desirable
• License or eligible to license to practice as a pharmacist in Manitoba
• Good work and attendance record
• Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) from a recognized University
• Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
• Previous hospital experience is desirable
• Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
• Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required

Conditions of Employment

• Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
• All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.
