Patient Administrative Associate - Birthign Unit - Regular Part-Time (0.4 Fte) (2023-221431)

We currently have a Regular Part-Time (0.4 FTE) opportunity for a Patient Administrative Associate in the Birthign Unit department at our Bayview campus.

Hours of Work: Weekends; Days, Evenings, Nights; 8 hrs; As per schedule

Summary Of Duties

The PAA is responsible for staffing, scheduling, payroll and the administrative support for Birthing Unit, Maternal and Newborn Unit and the High Risk Obstetrical Unit. In addition, there is an opportunity to work on small projects as necessary.

Qualifications/Skills

• Keyboarding at 40 net words per minute or keyboarding at 106 net keystrokes per minute
• Demonstrated understanding and ability to work in an interprofessional team environment
• One year of Administrative/Business experience in health care setting required
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to deal with conflict and communicate appropriately with residents, families and staff
• Demonstrated knowledge of ESP staff scheduling software
• Ability to organize work effectively, and work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment that requires the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Advanced computer skills with a high degree of accuracy
• One year of Community College; Medical Terminology course preferred
• Outstanding customer service skills essential
• Relieve/fill in for PAAs on M5 as needed
