Academics are working with a lovely primary school in Redbridge. They are seeking a warm and passionate part-time Teaching assistant for mornings only, to join them in September. This is a long-term role but the Heat Teacher wold like to offer a permanent contract to the suitable, hard-working individual.

You will be working in a friendly, and bubbly Year 2 class. On occasion you will be required to work 1:1 with a little boy who sometimes requires time outside of the classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one support to pupils who require additional help
• Assisting with the marking and assessment of pupils' work
• Assisting with the supervision of pupils during lunchtime and breaks
• Supporting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Contributing to the overall ethos, work, and aims of the school.
• Helping pupils with their reading, writing, and numeracy skills
• Supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Assisting in the preparation of learning resources and materials

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong understanding of the primary school curriculum
• Experience working with children in a school setting
• The ability to work effectively in a team
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A patient, caring and positive approach to working with children
