Scope of the Position:
Responsible for all aspects of our H&S, ISO & Audit programs within each Ontario OPCO. Work with the Operational leads in every OPCO to ensure success. Ability to travel throughout our branch network is required.
Major Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environment program
- Update Sharepoint on all requirements & ensure appropriate staff have access
- Ensure all Branch, JHSC & Annual meetings minutes are updated on Sharepoint
- Schedule HSE training as required
- Update record keeping on Sharepoint including training certificates, annual inspection certificates etc
- Assist in development and maintenance of risk matrixes
- Participate in monthly JHSC meetings
- Participate in all JHSC meeting & take minutes
- Workplace inspection, TRIF, observation, incident & event tracking (KPI’s)
- Purchase safety/environmental/sustainability resources as needed
- Work under the direction of the HSE Mgr to execute Ministry standards at minimum
- Revise H&S manual and appendices as required keeping proper documentation history
- Participate in new hire orientation as needed
- Maintain Contractor Management Program
- Assist with roll-out of new HSE projects company wide as required
- Promote and advocate HSE and continuous improvement across the company
Quality Management / ISO
- Conduct internal audits, create NCR’s, Corrective & Preventative Actions – track and ensure their resolution
- Quality Representative for all ISO OPCO’s
- Other duties as assigned
- Responsible for all aspects of our External audits
- Communicate with management any gaps that need to be addressed
- Update, enhance QMS & Manual
- Create awareness of the QMS within our OPCO’s – ISO & Non ISO
- Use QMS structure to enhance continuous improvement in all Ontario OPCO’s
Desired Skills And Experience
- Quality Management experience an asset
- University/College education preferred. Certification in Operations Management an asset
- SX knowledge an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft office required. Knowledge of Autocad is an asset
- Familiarity with racking and wire & cable handling an asset
- Ontario H&S experience an asset
- 3-5 years related experience in Operations required (preferably in Distribution)
